Shantila did loads of beauty editorials for ELLE and Marie Claire Malaysia, where she cut her teeth in styling and organizing shoots. Here are some that stood out. All of these are conceptualized, styled, and written by Shantila. She also played a major role in sourcing tear sheets, picking the models and the hair and makeup teams, and at times had a hand in art direction. For the sake of clarity and visualization pre-shoot, she sometimes drew sketches of the makeup/hair looks and outfits on her iPad .
